Practical Information

Things you need to know...

Current Availability

I offer both Virtual Sessions via Zoom and Face-to-Face Sessions at my Henley-in-Arden room.  I have very limited availability for new clients for the next few months; however, if you do have any questions or are looking for something further in the future I'm very happy to have a conversation now.

Fees/Payment

My standard fee is £65 per session.  I accept payment by BACS (bank transfer) and fees must be paid 48 hours in advance to secure your session with me.  There are a limited number of reduced rate sessions available which can be accessed either by therapists-in-training or for those with specific needs.  Please do ask if cost would be a barrier to us working together, as we may be able to come to an arrangement that works for us both.

Cancellations/Refunds

If you cancel a session, I need at least 48 hours’ notice of the cancellation. Any less than 48 hours and the full fee of £65 will be charged. If there is an overpayment made, then the overpayment amount will be put forward towards the next session’s fee. If there is not going to be another session, then a refund of the overpayment will be made.  If a session has been paid for and cancelled in good time (more than 48 hours before the appointment), then the fee paid will go towards the next session. If there is no next session, then a refund will be offered.

Location

Most sessions I currently offer are via Zoom, however I can also offer face-to-face sessions in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire and have access to a room in Illshaw Heath, near Solihull.

Accessibility

My room in Henley-in-Arden is fully wheelchair accessible.

Length

I offer short-term (up to 15 sessions) and long-term (over 20 sessions) face to face or online therapy to adults.  Sessions last for 50 minutes.

Private Healthcare

I am approved to provide counselling or psychotherapy with the following providers:

  • Aviva

What happens when you contact me?

  • I may be with another client if you call my mobile, so it may be best initially to email me, otherwise leave a message or text and I will get back in touch with you as quickly as I can.
  • At this point I will send you a counselling enquiry form for you to complete and send back to me. [If filling in forms is challenging, I can arrange a short call to support you to complete the form.]
  • Once I receive your enquiry form, I will contact you to answer any questions you may have and arrange the time and date of your first session with me, which will need to be paid for at least 48 hours in advance of the session. I will send you a copy of our contract which will need to be returned to me before we can begin working together.
  • Part of our first session includes us being able to make the decision whether we would like to work together therapeutically going forward.
  • If we decide not to work together, I will signpost you to alternative support that is available.
